Market Pricing Basics

Every tradable item in War of Genesis: Idle Loot floats freely on the Steam Community Market. Understanding why one sword is $0.14 and a near-identical one is $13 is the whole game of selling well. Here is the framework, using live data from this site.

1. Tier is the biggest multiplier

Gear with a (Tier N) suffix sits on a steep value ladder: each tier jump multiplies both stats and market price. Tier 6 items now top the board (the priciest gear trades near $195), while Tier 3–4 gear mostly trades in the $0.10–$2 band. When you price a drop, find its tier siblings on the board first.

2. Depth beats price — read the listing count

"Listed" tells you how many sell orders exist. High price + tiny depth (like Gold Bar at ~$34 with only a few dozen orders) means sellers set the tone. High price + deep book means buyers can pick and undercutting is a race to the bottom. Price your listing one notch under the cheapest if depth is thick; match it if thin.

3. Currency items are the market's pulse

Gold Bar and Diamond Pouch are the de-facto high-value benchmarks everyone watches. When they move, the whole board's mood moves with them. The homepage ticker keeps them on screen.

4. Rarity colors are the shared language

The board uses the same white/green/blue/purple/red/gold scale as the game's inventory. If a drop's color surprises you relative to its price, that's usually where the deal is.

Prices quoted are snapshot observations from September 2026 and change constantly — always check the live board.
